Most of the times, I do get questions from colleague missionaries on how God gave us breakthroughs in nations and among the unreached people groups. I begin to ponder on how to answer in order not to make a doctrine or any formula out from it. The more I meditate on this, my mind goes as far back as 2020 when an unusual burden was placed upon my heart.
The Lord is the bringer of the burden for kingdom assignment and we cannot conceive this by ourselves in the flesh. He releases a burden into the heart of the missionary for it to prayed over. This could be a burden for a people group, nation, an individual etc. It could be birthed forth whiles watching news, reading an article, interacting with people from different nations. The Holy Spirit may use any means to release a holy burden for this kingdom expansion assignment.

In some years ago, I had a holy burden to reach out to some nations in the Central Asia part of the world. Specifically, the Uzbeks and the Tajiks. I didn’t know these nations in person and neither did I know any contact person from there. But I put the burden into prayer and consistently praying for these nations and individuals. That they shall be saved, that the Lord will give me these nations. Psalm 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession
Consistent prayer for these nations broke grounds spiritually and miraculously I started meeting some of the individuals in my city and other places. I remembered one time, I was going to one university for a conference, I met a gentleman who was so happy to meet me for the first time. I was so shocked to later find his nationality. He was an Uzbek. Oh wow, the people I have been praying for, God is connecting me to them supernaturally. He planned to be in my room and be a roommate, and I was like praise God. The Lord is up to something in these nations in the Central Asia.

This Uzbek guy received Christ as a result of building friendship and after giving him enough help in his studies. I remember escorting him to the mosque sometimes. His heart opened and Christ was birthed forth in him. Now the work had begun, one soul won. Glory be to Jesus! Now, can we use this first contact to enter the nation and possess it for the Lord? This was the grounds breaking method of Jesus. He won Samaria through just one woman. The next time, only one man Philip, the evangelist turned the whole city of Samaria unto Christ. Be that one person to be used by God to transform a nation, city or a continent.
Watch out for the part two of this article.
